I am a designer and illustrator based in Florida. I got my start designing and creating makeup effects for television and movies in Los Angeles. I currently work extensively with state and local educational entities and design monsters and their ilk for gaming companies.

If you have a chance check out my website: www.christopherburdett.com/

If you have not heard about it, Peter Mohrbacher and Sam Flegal are doing something pretty cool over on Google Hangout. They are doing a weekly live chat where they talk about the previous week working as fantasy artists. They talk about what they are working on, the ups, the downs, they answer questions, and for some reason on their December 23rd live cast... they had me on as a guest! www.youtube.com/watch?v=YevT7w… RAWR!

Your artwork is superb!

I'm looking to start creating a protfolio of 3d character models designed from other peoples concepts in preperation for job hunting and I was wondering if I could use some of your concepts?

None of the models would be sold or used comercially, they would purely be for my own practice and to show possible employers my modelling skills and concept interpratation method.

You would of course be fully credited as being the designer of the original concepts.

If you are referring to work that I have done for clients, then I am not in a position to allow or deny usage rights. I was hired to create the work and that work's copyright is held by the people that hired me. Is it imperative that you use the work of someone else? Why not design your own creations and render those. You would own everything about them and you would be working on two skills at the same time. Just a thought.

Thanks of the reply (and the Llama!). It was more to show that I can model from various styles of work, that say several different contracted concept artists may produce, rather than my own ideas which I already have an idea of what they would look like fully modelled. I have several of my own works that I can put in as well but I was aiming for a more well-rounded, multiple styles sort of outcome. I shall resume my hunt! Ninja

Keep up the fantastic work! Clap

Thanks, but "perfect" is far from accurate. But it is appreciated.
